Our Tropical Avocados are West Indian or West Indian x Guatemalan-type hybrids. They are smooth skinned and much larger than a hass avocado. They stay green when ripe and have brighter greens and yellows in their color than the other varieties. Their flesh is golden-yellow with a rich, fresh flavor while also lighter then a hass. The flesh of a Tropical avocado is firmer than that of a hass, making it great for smoothies or slicing salads and sandwiches.
