Bugalo tomato is a mini plum tomato with the characteristic egg-like shape, bright red, smooth, thick skin of other plum tomato varieties.  Plum tomatoes grow in a chain-like pattern and a single fruit can weigh between 35 and 40 grams, its flesh has few seeds, high sugar and acid levels, and low moisture content. They are ideal for cooking down into a tomato sauce or paste.
